Nike SB Dunk Low Pro x Bronx Girls Skate Shoe

Bronx Girls Skate has been making waves in the skateboarding scene since 2020. The collective has celebrated women skaters, encouraging the growth of the scene not only in its homeplace of the Bronx, but around the world too. This mission is now being amplified by Nike SB, which has offered up its iconic SB Dunk Low sneaker to the collective for the duo’s first collaboration.

Arriving in a black stingray leather upper, the kicks are complemented by the contrast of a white leather Swoosh. The various colored piping outlining the whole silhouette represents the iconic New York City subway, emphasizing the idea of bringing New York together. The orange piping stands for the B and D trains; the green one refers to the 4, 5 and 6; the red one goes into the 1 and 2. The metallic gold “NY” charm on the heels reminisces about the already-defunct New York City subway token. Inspired by street art, “BXGS” graphics in Graffiti style are stitched on the inner tongue. A train motif and a “GS” stamp are also printed on the outsole, giving the kicks more touches of detail. “BXGS” branding is also engraved on the gold lace dubraes, together with the full title of the collaboration appearing on the tips of a set of black and white laces.
